The city of Folly Beach, SC is very welcoming to leashed dogs. Dogs are welcome in and around many of the restaurants and bars, and you will also find numerous restaurants throughout the city that will be more than happy to provide your companion with a fresh bowl of water to cool off, and sometimes even a little treat! Always check with your hostess to confirm the rules of each restaurant location.
Some of the festivals the city of Folly Beach sponsors even welcome leashed pets!
Seasonally dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m (May 1-Sept 30) so be sure to check the time. Remember to pick up after your pet and to keep dogs leashed at all times while you’re on the island.
